Why AATAM exists
The story, in a few cards.
The moment
The point was ready, and the meeting ended.
I learned fast, made complex things easy and spoke to people with empathy. The same speed made me jump to conclusions and judge people too quickly. I had the point ready, and the meeting ended. A hum of anxiety ran under it all, even with everything going well. Old survival wiring had kept me safe once, and now it was setting my ceiling.

The career
Fifteen years as a systems architect.
The name
Aatam is Sanskrit for the self.
The name is the mission. The one relationship everything else is built on.
The career
Knew the right move more often than we made it.
At companies like Nike and adidas. The best people around me, and I, knew the right move more often than we made it. Not for lack of skill. The care that had earned us our seats also guarded them. Survival wiring, protecting us from dangers that no longer exist.
The cost
Quietly expensive.
The idea that stayed an idea, the honest answer that stayed unsaid, the creative work no one ever saw. In 2024 I left to work on that full time.
The map
Three old fears. Four moves. Nine patterns.
I mapped the mind the way I would map any system, as precision work. Cross the fears with the moves and you get the nine patterns that take over an ordinary day. That's why it's a map and not a list. Every one checked against published research. I did not invent the science. I mapped it.
The work is simple
Three moves, in this order.
- 01See the pattern. Named in the words you already use about yourself.
- 02Catch it in the moment it fires. Eyes closed first, then out in your week.
- 03Make the one small move it has been holding back. Until the wiring learns the new way.
Plainly
Not a therapist. Not therapy.
Therapists treat. If you need treatment, get it. This is for the patterns that run a working life.
“I'm not asking you for your trust. I'm asking you to trust your own experience.”
